Internet of Things (IoT)
Monday-Friday
2-5 PM
Fee: $300 (including IoT kit)
This module includes both theory and hands-on parts. The theory section explains the nature of IoT systems, their core components, and principles of operation, along with real-life examples. Non-technical aspects of IoT systems are also covered, including IoT’s role in the current world, implemented applications, profits, and the future of IoT.
The hands-on part complements the theory and includes an overview of the hardware (such as nodes and sensors) accompanied with the cooperation of those. Networking and cloud processing, as technological parts of IoT, are experimented in the scope of previously used hardware. The hands-on part concludes with building a fully functional IoT system. Students will do all the hands-on work using the MKR IoT Bundle, which is a great way to get started with the Internet of Things!
