This module engages high-achieving middle and high school students in hands-on activities that help them explore the science of their Southern Nevada urban neighborhoods, or NatureHoods. Students will investigate the desert ecosystem, record native and non-native flora and fauna, observe climate change effects, measure human impacts, identify emerging scientific problems, and engineer solutions to environmental issues in their NatureHoods. Requirements: curious mind, fun spirit, and sense of adventure!
