Differential Fees.
Engineering is a high-cost program. A significant investment in resources is required to train engineering students to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing technological environment. Differential fees allow the College to enhance the quality and growth of our engineering programs and offer degrees that make students highly competitive in a global market environment.
Beginning in the Fall 2014, all 300-400 level engineering and computer science courses collect differential program fees for $40.00/credit, and all 600-700 graduate level courses collect $20.00/credit. These differential fees are established by the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents.
What are differential fees?
Differential fees collected by the college of engineering have been used to support students, student activities, and student-centered services, including:

• Providing student club support
• Providing career/internship services
• Supporting student ambassador program
• Granting need-based scholarships
• Providing support for student travel to technical conferences and meeting
